WE ARE NEARLY 3KM INSIDE THE URUTAWA FOREST AND  JUST OFF THE MOTU TRAILS CYCLEWAY.

DIRECTIONS 

 

From Whakatane
Once you have crossed the Opotiki bridge (New World on the left) go straight ahead to the intersection, turn right towards Gisbourne SH2, just after the cemetery (on the right), the road vears to the right, you want to go straight ahead (left) onto Otara road (see our sign) DO NOT TURN OFF but follow our signs till you get to gravel road (12km), after 2km of gravel you come to a hard left at the wooden Te Waiti bridge. At this point DO NOT cross the bridge but go straight ahead, down the dip and you are on our road, cross the first ford and you will find us at road end (3.7km)

 

From Gisborne
From SH2 just before the Opotiki cemetery on the left, turn right on to Otara Road (see our sign) DO NOT TURN OFF but follow our signs till you get to gravel road (12km), after 2km of gravel you come to a hard left at the wooden TeWaiti bridge. At this point do not cross the bridge but go straight ahead down the dip and you are on our road, cross the first ford and you will find us at road end (3.7k's)

 

Please note:
For those who have never crossed a (stream) ford before, cross at a steady walking speed, you don't have to put your foot down, just cruise through without stopping and enjoy our road, this being the start of your Bushaven experience. 
Please turn your lights on, as our road is very windy and narrow, please take it slowly. Driver to keep their eyes on the road, not the views!
